Death and taxes are certain. What happens to your cars is not.

You know your cars. You know how each one drives, why you bought it and which ones you would never sell.

One day, someone else will be responsible for these cars. The ones you would never sell are the ones your estate will hold. Sold during your lifetime, a private car is generally outside Capital Gains Tax. Kept, its market value forms part of your estate for Inheritance Tax, and someone has to establish it. Without a current record, that usually means asking a dealer, at a moment when your family has other things on its mind.

Until then, what takes the time is everything else. The insurance renewal at a value nobody has checked in three years. The car in storage that has not been started since spring. The service history split between a folder, an inbox and a mechanic who has since retired. The question from your accountant you cannot quite answer.

We know this because we are owners too. Craig, who owns IN, has had close to forty cars over twenty-five years, and his family has been in the trade for longer than that. We have had the cars that sat too long, the paperwork that went missing and the valuations that turned out to be wrong.

What we do for you.

We take that weight off you. We keep track of every car and what it needs, and we tell you when something needs your decision. When you want to use a car, it is ready. When you have a question, there is one person to ask, and they know the answer.

Your trusted workshop, storage provider and insurer remain part of the picture. If they are good, they stay. We make sure everyone is working from the same page, and that nothing falls between them.

We do not trade cars or hold stock. When we act for you in a purchase or sale, we act for you alone and agree the fee before we start. We are paid by you, or by those acting for you, and by nobody else.

When the time comes.

Too often, everything that matters about a collection is held in one person’s head. Yours will not be. What you know about your cars, their history and what you want for each of them will be written down and kept current, while the decisions are still yours to make.

A conversation between owners.

A first conversation is a look at your cars, how things work today and where we could take some of the weight off you. Nothing to prepare. No obligation.
