Acquisition & Disposal

Working for the owner

Your interests represented through an acquisition or disposal.

When instructed, often when aligning a collection for inheritance purposes, we act for an owner in the acquisition or disposal of a significant car or collection.

We do not trade cars or hold stock. We represent our clients only and receive no payment from the other side.

The work begins with understanding what the client wants and making sure the car itself is properly understood.

Before an acquisition.

A buying decision should begin with the car rather than the sales story around it.

We establish what can be supported by the available evidence and identify anything that still needs to be answered before the client commits.

Where specialist inspection or marque knowledge is needed, we bring the appropriate expertise into the process.

The purpose is simple. The client should understand what they are buying before they decide whether to buy it.

When considering a disposal.

A sale is easier to manage properly when the car and its position are understood before it reaches the market.

We prepare the supporting information and consider the most appropriate route based on what the owner actually wants to achieve.

For some cars, broad exposure makes sense. For others, discretion matters far more.

One instruction. Clear authority.

The scope of our role and our fee are agreed before work begins.

Decisions remain with the client or their authorised representative.

We are paid only by our client.

What brings an owner here.

01
Considering an Acquisition

"I am considering buying it, but I need to understand the car properly."

02
Preparing a Disposal

"I am considering selling and want someone acting on my behalf."

03
Independent Representation

"I want my interests represented throughout the process."

A confidential conversation.

A first conversation is a look at the car or collection, what you are considering and where representation would help. Nothing to prepare.
